Caracara — Amazon on Twitter

On March 15, 2007, Jeff posted the idea as his first “TwitterPitch“:

Free Idea: Make $ with Twitter-Use AMZN ECS, get top seller, Twitter (to varied profiles) on month/week/day/hour basis. Income as AMZN assoc

In otherwords, use the Amazon E-Commerce Service to retrieve top sellers in various categories, then send them to twitter at various times. You’ll then make a commission every time someone buys through your link to the product on Amazon.

Caracara is currently only sending out just one twitter message a day for each category. From observation, the top sellers don’t seem to change much on an hour-by-hour basis. One message a day doesn’t seem like too much, so I decided to start with that.
